“Anxiety Reduction” Dentistry:
- Many patients put off dental care for years because of dental fears and anxieties. In our personalized approach, we offer several relaxation, analgesic, anesthetic, and techniques designed to relax, anesthetize, and make our patients more comfortable during their dental visits. These techniques including but not limited to the following:
- Various Topical Anesthetics for Hygiene and/or Restorative Procedures;
- Various Local Anesthetics for short and long term procedures;
- Analgesic “Laughing Gas” technically known as Nitrous Oxide;
- Noise reduction and/or Musical Ear protective Phones;
- Special Contoured “Tempur-Pedic” Pillows and Cushions to support the head, neck, and/or back;
Oral Hygiene & Preventive Visits and Periodontal Therapy;
- Professional surveys and studies have indicated that 80% of all Americans suffer from Periodontal disease, that means millions of Americans. Since Periodontal Disease is a principal source of Bad Breath, Receding & Bleeding Gums, tooth decay and tooth loss; it is important that we diagnose and treat it in a timely fashion. Regular Professional care starting with basic Oral Hygiene visits is a first line of defense against Gum Disease. These services traditionally involve but are not limited to the following;
- Removing all Plaque and Calculus (tartar) from the teeth;
- Removing surface stains from the teeth;
- Flouride applications;
- Recommendations and Instructions on tooth brushing, flossing, oral hygiene aids and home fluoride alternatives.
- Pit & Fissure Sealant Recommendations;
- When significant damage from periodontal disease is discovered additional services may be recommended and performed.
- To improve dark or stained teeth.
- Veneers are used to fix crooked, broken, and stained teeth; They are thin, semi-translucent porcelain laminates that are permanently bonded to your own teeth. Althought they are not suitable for every patient, they are one of the most esthetic alternatives for many dental conditions involving your front teeth. Including but not limited to:
- Closing spaces between your teeth;
- Repairing broken or chipped teeth;
- Fixing unsightly, stained or washed-out fillings;
- Fixing “Permanently” stained or discolored teeth;
- Altering crooked teeth;
“Metal Free” and “Mercury Free” Dentistry Available :
- To maximize cosmetics & minimize your health concerns;
- Dental implants help dentists create healthy, attractive smiles in new and innovative ways.
- Implants are used to replace one or more missing teeth;
- implants are another alternative to conventional bridges and dentures;
- In essence, dental implants act and look like natural teeth;
- And, because they maintain bone mass, dental implants can help prevent additional tooth loss as well as the sunken facial appearance associated with missing teeth.
- A dental implant restoration usually consists of a bio-compatible titanium screw and post topped by a crown bridge or denture.
- Implants are surgically placed into the jaw where they replace a natural tooth root. Commonly, in 4-6 months the implant has securely attached to the bone in a process called "osseointegration", allowing it when restored with a crown to withstand biting and chewing forces just like a healthy, natural tooth.
Bonded “Tooth Colored” Fillings:
- Used to fix broken and decayed teeth;
- Tooth colored fillings are an alternative to the traditional Silver-Mercury fillings that have been used for over 100 years. Silver fillings have a tendency to darken over time, undergo metal fatigue, release mercury, corrode, and stain darker the natural enamel color of teeth.
- Tooth colored fillings can be made more conservatively than Silver-Mercury fillings thereby preserving the size and strength of the natural tooth structure.
- Tooth colored fillings “Bonded” to the tooth enamel and dentine at a microscopic level that not only seals the tooth against bacterial infiltration, but also strengthens the natural tooth structure for use.
- Tooth colored fillings are an attractive and natural appearing choice for fixing broken and decayed teeth.
Crowns “Caps”, Inlays, Onlays, and Bridgework:
- Used to fix & replace broken, decayed, and missing teeth. Fixed Crowns and Bridges are dental laboratory prepared restorations that are placed over teeth when more conservative fillings are insufficient to restore the normal form and function of the teeth. A fixed bridge consists of crowns placed on either side of the missing tooth to connect the replacement tooth to them. Crowns and Bridges are also placed over dental Implants.
